Self-affirmations are one of the most powerful tools that we can unlock from the inside.

Growing up, you may have experienced a trauma of some sort; this could mean seeing your parents get divorced or even growing up in poverty, which has now brought some sense of doubt or worry to your life as an adult. You may have limiting beliefs about yourself and your current life situation. This is exactly where the power of affirmations can be utilized.

What exactly is an affirmation? It is positive self-talk that you can recite daily.  These words of encouragement will subconsciously break your limiting beliefs and allow you to start believing what you are reciting. This technique is a proven method to rewire our brains from thinking negatively to more positively.  

Self-affirmations can be done at ANY age, and you can even encourage your children to recite daily affirmations to help them develop strong self-esteem and self-worth.

This is exactly what I am teaching my daughter. I want her to overcome her lows quickly and pursue all of the opportunities that life has for her, without her doubting herself. I want her to grow up believing in herself and knowing that there is nothing that she can’t achieve. I want her to know that she can always pick herself up and continue positively on her journey if she stumbles.  Having her recite these daily affirmations, I have seen her become more confident and acknowledge how beautiful she is. She continues to believe in herself, and this inspires others around her.

The Power of Positive Thinking 

Many people can attest to the power of positive affirmation to transform lives. It can “rewire” the brain  to break its negative thought patterns. And just like physical exercise, it can also increase the amount of  feel-good hormones in the brain. Positive thoughts are so powerful – they can influence your emotional,  mental, and physical health so they can be transformed to their better versions. With the right self-commitment, mindset, and course of action, you can create a positive impact on your life. I encourage you to wake up and end your day with positive affirmations and see how it slowly shifts your outlook in life and how your life begins to flourish.

Change Your Life: Follow These Steps 

Changing your life should start with your thoughts, and you can do that by repeating affirmations to  yourself. When affirmations are on repeat, be it out-loud or silently, your mind can be re-programmed to begin seeing these affirmations as absolute truth. When this happens, you are allowing them to  manifest into your reality. Many people find self-affirmations challenging because they do not believe in the words they are saying. I know reciting affirmations can work for you, and I will show you how.

Here are 3 crucial steps that you must follow when using affirmations to change your life. 

1. Write down your affirmations. 

It is important to write down affirmations that are goal oriented. Write them in present tense  and as though they have already been achieved. 

2. Act “as if.” 

Start emitting positive energy into the universe so you can also start attracting positive changes  into your life. Telling yourself what you want through affirmations won’t be enough. You have to  act as though you already have it. One great tip to make this easier is to start your affirmation  with the words “Thank you.” This will greatly help to convince your subconscious that you are  already enjoying that which you have desired. 

3. Repeat as often as possible. 

The more you repeat your affirmation the deeper that the message would be ingrained on your  mind and into your subconscious. It can help to post your written affirmation in significant places such as your bathroom mirror, computer screen saver, your diary, or vision board.

Experience the Magic 

If you diligently do the crucial 3 steps, you will find out that they absolutely work and you are  guaranteed to experience a magical transformation. Keeping a positive attitude in life can gradually  crush your negative thoughts until they can disappear from your mind and your reality forever.

“I continue to learn, grow, and evolve each day.”

“I’m strong in my values and confident in my abilities.”

“I love and accept myself just the way I am.”

“I’m grateful for my life and all the blessings I receive.”

“I can allow myself to grieve.”

“I can control my life and create how I want it to be.”

“Every day is full of chances and opportunities.”

“I am enough and worthy of love, happiness, and fulfillment.”

Always remember that along the way, you might stumble in achieving your goals, but that’s not a reason to stop. Just keep on declaring, claiming, and affirming to yourself that there’s nothing you can’t do or have in your life, and you will see how far you have come.

You are destined for greater things. You just need to unlock you
