Having a puffy under eye can be so frustrating especially when you’d like to copy a certain makeup look or be pleasantly looking fresh and that puffiness makes it hard for you to achieve it. But don’t worry because there are effective ways to help lessen the appearance of your puffy under eyes, just keep on reading!
Used tea bags. Tea is not just good for our tummy and mood but its antioxidant properties found in caffeine helps increase blood flow in your skin. Do prepare your tea bags, just steep them for 3 to 5 minutes, chill in the refrigerator for 20 minutes. Squeeze some extra tea liquid and apply to your under eye then leave the tea bags for 20 minutes.
Use a cold compress. Applying cold to your puffy under eye can help the blood vessels constrict quickly for some temporary relief. My favorite DIY cold compress is using a cold spoon, I do it just by simply chilling my spoon and covering my eyes for about 15 minutes. You can also use cool cucumber!
Use a face or under eye massage roller. This is best to use when cold. So before massaging your puffy under eye, chilled your face roller first and feel how relaxing it is and you can feel instant lift!
Add retinol to your skincare routine. The retinol helps to improve collagen deficiency that can promote great elasticity on your under eye and removes some fine lines. You can check a lot of good eye creams in the market that have retinol.
Stay hydrated. Yes, beauties! Our skin needs water especially when we are aging. Maintaining proper hydration enhances circulation which helps remove excess fluid from the eye area so don’t forget your water bottle on your working table so you can be reminded to drink your water from time to time throughout the day.
Bonus hack: Use black coffee. Put your black coffee on a filter, refrigerate and put on your under eyes. The caffeine in the coffee is great for reducing dark circles and puffiness by improving blood circulation.
We shouldn’t be neglecting our under eye, ladies! It needs extra TLC too. So no matter if you have puffy under eye or none, it’s good to still follow some good under eye care and treat it mostly when needed. Remember your under eye is one of the most noticeable facial features, so it must be one of the freshest looking!
